Katrina built a flat, plywood base and covered it with hi-loft quilt batting as a start for her Snow Base.  The covered base fits down into her frame and rests on a ledge built inside the frame.  This allows working room for the wires and bolts underneath  that support the fox.

A driftwood limb was added for the front legs to rest on and it was fastened securely into the plywood.  A dead mount in the fox's mouth finishes the story, and spray adhesive and fake snow add the convincing details.

This mount is elegant and monochromatic---a very successful presentation.
