Using the principles in "How to Build a Rock", Tammy builds a custom base for a gorgeous, life-sized, howling, black wolf mount.  Note the platform, the planned 2x4 bases for the wires to bolt into, the hardware mesh outline, the mache shaping, the final airbrushing.

Each time a rock is created, the elements are the same--wooden sub-structure, hardware mesh, mache, paint.  But each artist brings a different vision to the work.

Tammy does a great job airbrushing the rock and burnishing off paint in spots for a weathered look.  Moss/lichen adds color, texture, and realism to the Arctic scene.  Taking it all one step past planning, Tammy, in the final presentation, plants the wolf's front paw on a sun-whitened deer skull.  Very dramatic.
